It remains a great book! And ditto on Sarek/Amanda--I especially love how in the present day we get a little hint of something that happened in the past (Amanda blushes at the discussion of a widespread universal-translator-based misunderstanding of a Vulcan term), and then find out a little more about it, and then when the flashback chapters have come up far enough, we actually see it happen, and see how it helped bring Amanda and Sarek together. ♥
