No fic mountain after all :/

Turns out I will not be able to sign up for Night On Fic Mountain this year. Woe. But I have to undergo some Srs Medical Care, surgery-style (more on that later!), and the recovery is a bit extensive and time/energy-consuming. When I'm feeling up to it, if the time frames allow, I'll certainly be keeping an eye out for any likely pinch hit!

Thank you! I am keeping my hopes up. At the very least, I am a Dutifully Compliant patient, so when it's time to shuffle up and down corridors in my slippers in order to promote healing, a-shuffling I will go, by gum.

I KNOW, my timing is so terrible! I was saying at work that this whole thing would have been so much more convenient if it had happened in the autumn/winter when we have more federal holidays. A waste of perfectly good sick leave, I tell you. >:-[
