Getting lost in The Cumberbatch
Oct. 4th, 2011 10:41 amI just read an article on The Morning News, by Rosecrans Baldwin, that goes into brief but heartfelt (and funny) paroxysms over Benedict Cumberbatch. I enjoyed the way he writes about it. Sample quote: "[BC] looks from a distance like he’s wearing an opera mask of someone even more handsome than himself."
I shouldn't, however, have broken my resolution when in most Internet spaces by reading the comments. Not that they're horrible or full of trolls, but there are already people huffing and puffing in there as if they had entirely missed how much Baldwin likes Cumberbatch and Sherlock. He's just also a little weird about it, which I appreciate.
(And he's written other little articles in a series called "My Contemporary British TV Detectives," where he talks about Morse (and Lewis), and Lynley, and Watsons, and whatnot. I just wish they were longer.)
