raremaleslashex nominations opened while I wasn't looking, and remain open until this Sunday, May 16.

The evolving tagset is here, and I like seeing things popping up that I'd gladly write and/or read, without me having nominated any of them. The Aubreyad books are there, Nero Wolfe, The Sting, The Exorcist (TV), The Persuaders, Shetland, Casablanca, Trapeze, Chu Shuzhi/Guo Changcheng from the Guardian drama (still a rarepair!), Chu Shuzhi/Ye Huo likewise (I would love to see more of this!), and much more.

I've been having such trouble doing any writing lately, for obvious reasons, same as a lot of other people. And even though the writing period for RMSE will be going on just as my daily life is going to be getting more demanding, I'm thinking that it will help me structure my writing and give me nice things to work for and look forward to.

Eeeee! Chu Shuzhi/Guo Changchang and Da Qing/Lin Jing--the latter would have to be utter crack, but I'd be willing to go there. And Sleuth of the Ming Dynasty, whee!!!

Thank you! I have tossed my hat into the ring. It was strangely hard to find four fandoms in which I felt I could offer something--Guardian and Sleuth otMD came to mind immediately--but I pawed through the listings a couple of times and finally went with the Aubrey/Maturin series and Blakes 7.

I haven't been writing a lot lately, so I'm hoping to make my icon true again! :-D

I'm sorry to hear the offers were difficult, that's a hassle. As long as you'd feel equally happy about being assigned any of them, then it sounds like you're on the right track! (And of course the corollary to that is, if there's one that you're secretly hoping not to be assigned, that's the one you'll get...) Your offers are certainly relevant to my interests, if that helps. :D

I haven't had a chance to sign up yet, but lucky for me it's a good long signup period. Which also provides me plenty of time for waffling. Heh.

I was tempted to offer Iolanthe, which is my favorite G&S operetta EVAR, and I guessed (correctly) the pairing immediately!

But my train of reasoning went thusly:
It's got to be a tiny tiny fandom.
So if I offer it, I will almost certainly be picked to write it.
Since I love Iolanthe so very very much, I will tell myself it has to be PERFECT and involve really excellent filking of "In Friendship's Name" and at least one other song.
... which will make it really really hard to get it done, in a "the best is the enemy of the good" sort of way.

I nominated things! Great Escape, and Ben-Hur, and Becket, and Jerry Lewis/Dean Martin, and other things that it would be fun to see written. But I'm not going to sign up for it. Like you, I just haven't been able to do the word thing. Tree pretty! Writing hard. I hope you do tho, and that it goes swimmingly. *hugs you*
